Ages & Stages
Infants (0-2 Years)
We provide continual support through each stage of your infant’s development, we believe in fostering a stimulating environment where they are free to explore, discover, and learn through play.
The experiences infants have during the early months of life are crucial to their healthy brain development. By providing them personal attention and interaction with teachers, we promote basic intellectual and social skills.
Singing, reading and talking are just some of the activities that support development during this critical stage. As each infant has a different schedule or routine, our passionate teachers create a personalised activity plan that boosts brain activity, encourages first words and enables relationship building for each child.
Toddlers (2 – 3.5 Years)
Our unique curriculum is based on the philosophy that young children learn best through hands on experience. Each day is filled with activities that excite toddlers and aid in their development, giving them the confidence to speak those first few important words, as well as make those first few important friends.
We provide child-directed activities such as art and sensory time. We provide meals and snacks, and help toddlers adjust to transitions between activities throughout the day and accommodate individual differences and developmental abilities.
Preschool (3.5 – 5 Years)
At Discoveries we believe that all children learn in unique ways and develop at different ages. For our pre-school children, we design individual programmes in order to help them learn in the best way, at their own pace and in their own time.
At this stage, learning is still centered on play. However, by introducing new experiences such as encouraging your children to take responsibility for their belongings, engage in mat time, and develop the foundation skills necessary to read and write, we are preparing your children for their transition to school. By raising your children’s comfort levels with new experiences, this transition program will help them prepare mentally for the unfamiliarity of a school environment, so they can take the next step in their learning journey with ease and confidence.
